After driving many hours from southern Oman we found a small gas station shop that has a more varied choice of pistachios than the gas stations far in between the long  but fascinating roads from Salalah to Muscat. In this shop, we found this can of pistachios produced in Lebanon and called Castania. Delicious yellow pistachio in the deserts of Oman !

Context We reviewed quite a few number of pistachios in Oman already, some shelled from a market in Oman, some unshelled and more suited for cooking; but today, we are reviewing a small packet of yellow pistachios purchased in one of those small supermarkets during an epic road trip through the fantastically beautiful sultanate. Presentation These are purely Omani pistachios that come in a clear plastic bag. The only colors used for the packaging are red, white, and blue with an interesting logo containing a crescent moon adorned with 6 stars eclipsed by a circle with the letters RHT prominently displayed. Hi pistachio lovers, Today we would like to bring to you part 2 of the pistachio reviews from the beautiful country of Oman.  The first pistachios we tried there were pretty amazing and you can read about them here. Pistachios in fantastic Gutatemala

We’re in Guatemala these days. This is one of those countries that makes you feel comfortable and welcome as soon as you pass the border. Beautiful lakes, lively colorful markets, sunny weather, and extremely kind people are making it easy for me to spend more time in this beautiful central american country.  From the magnificent Mayan Ruins of Tikal, the waterfall pools and raw natural beauty of Semuc Champay, to the colonial architecture and cobbled stone streets of Antigua..
